Dr. Tommy Kakouras was born and raised in Charlotte, NC.  He graduated from Myers Park High School in 1992.  After graduating from Emory University in Atlanta with a degree in Biology, he attended Boston University School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctorate in Medical Dentistry with Honors.

Dr. Kakouras then continued his training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in a one year residency program.  There, he earned a certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry with an emphasis on cosmetic and implant dentistry.  Dr. Kakouras is licensed in Massachusetts and North Carolina. 

Dr. Kakouras strives to maintain the highest standard of care through continued education in dentistry and involvement in the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Association and the Charlotte Dental Society.  He is also committed to earning his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry which requires 500 additional hours of continued education training. 

Dr. Kakouras resides in Charlotte with his family.  He enjoys traveling, sports and is an active member of his church.
